What type of vehicles do you inspect?
We inspect almost every type of vehicle, including private cars, taxis, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, and large PSV’s.
What is the most common type of inspection you complete?
Our specialism and core work relate to collision damage inspections. This includes assessing and advising on the most suitable method of repair, calculation of repair costs, researching and providing vehicle valuations. Further information can be found on our Services page.
The majority of our work relates to insurance claims for damage sustained to private cars and large PSV’s.
Our work providers being predominantly insurance companies and large self-insured fleet operators. However, we are also happy to accept instructions from private individuals and the legal profession.
How quickly are the vehicle inspections carried out?
Subject to vehicle and client availability inspections are arranged and inspected within 48 hours of instruction, with the report completed within the following 24 hours.
Do I need to bring the vehicle to your premises?
No, we operate a mobile inspection service within the areas stated below.
What areas do you cover?
We can inspect throughout the Midlands, North West and surrounding areas.
Do I need to attend the inspection?
No, however, it will always assist if the owner/driver and keys are available.
How long will the inspection take?
Standard accident damage inspections take approximately 30 minutes; this, however, will depend on the nature of the inspection, type of vehicle and degree of damage.
Do you carry out Inspections on Engines and Gearboxes?
No, we do not undertake mechanical inspections relating to engine or gearbox failure issues. This work is a different field of expertise and requires an engineer specialising in this particular work.
My insurer has declared my vehicle a total loss, and I disagree with their value. Can you assist?
Yes, subject to the vehicle being available, we can inspect the vehicle on your behalf, make a full assessment of its pre-accident condition and provide you with a report along with a complete break down of Glass’s Guide values to support our findings.
The information included will enable you to either challenge your insurer’s value or provide peace of mind that your claim has been settled fairly.
With many insurers assessing vehicles these days based on images only, we often take instructions for this type of inspection with favourable results achieved for clients.
Can your reports be used in Court?
Our reports can be CPR Part 35 Compliant (to comply with Civil Procedure Rules) if specified at the time of instruction.
Can You Complete Desk Based Assessments
Yes, subject to sufficient information being available, we can complete desk-based assessments. These types of inspections are typically suited to smaller claims.
